Leading the estate
a welcoming couple
The Domaine de Fontaine-Châtel is more than just a place — it’s a life project. Louis and Juliette are carrying the torch forward. Louis, a farmer by trade, is passionate about nature and committed to showcasing the estate’s natural treasures. Juliette comes from the event management world and brings a modern, eco-tourism-focused vision. Together, they combine their passions and skills to offer you an unforgettable experience.
Timeless
Between earth and towering trees
Today, Domaine de Fontaine-Châtel is a vibrant space where the owners’ various activities blend together in harmony :

Sustainable farming
The estate’s lands continue to produce local crops such as cereals, rapeseed, and flax fiber for the textile industry. For 25 years, Louis and his father have used environmentally friendly farming techniques that rely on the soil as the main player. Agroforestry has also recently been introduced to combine the beauty of the landscape with the benefits of flora and fauna.

Sustainable forestry
The estate’s woods are carefully managed to protect ecosystems and ensure their sustainability. Louis is a true enthusiast. He favors Normandy tree species like oaks and beeches, which host custom-made cabins built around the trunk or the tree’s canopy.

Architectural heritage
The buildings, some dating back to the 13th century, are scattered across the estate. Preserving them is a real challenge. The goal is to give them a second life, like the dovecote converted into a luxury cottage that combines comfort and authenticity, which will be available for booking very soon.

Treehouses
The ten treehouses offer visitors a unique experience, completely disconnected, right in the heart of Normandy’s nature.
At the heart of the estate
Animals
The young couple, passionate about animals, has also transformed the estate into a protected habitat for local wildlife and added an educational farm. Visitors can meet chickens, horses, and rare Valais Blacknose sheep. At dawn or dusk, with some luck and patience, you might spot deer, wild boars, foxes, pheasants, and squirrels…
But first and foremost, you’ll be greeted by our loyal four-legged friends: Tartine and Roxy!
